The Days of Kate & Jennifer

Happy Day!

That is what Kate calls her birthday...Happy Day! It is so cute. She will say..."Mommy, Kate happy day." CUTE!!!

So it was obviously it was Kate's 2nd birthday last Thursday. I got home late from a business trip so only got to give her a little pat while she was sleeping, but I did take Friday off. We had a great day! Kate had her first official haircut, do a little shopping (including picking out a toy), we had McDonalds for lunch and then took a nap together all before Daddy got home. That night we just hung out. Saturday afternoon Grams and Papa Jones showed up. We went to Mitchell's baseball game with the Jones clan minus the Quinnilds. It was pretty fun as Kate ran crazy with Molly and Al.

Sunday was the BIG day! The birthday party!!! She got tons of great gifts including a rocking chair, sandbox, sock monkey, bike, dress-up clothes, dishes, dolls, sand toys, bubbles, and of course a shirt that matches one Molly has! The theme was of course Elmo :) Kate loved the Happy Day cake too...actually we are still eating it! One thing I think I can be sure of...Kate loves her birthday! Oh boy here we go!!!

It has been a while since I posted last so I will attach a bunch of photos. Other updates... Kate will walk around the house pretending to talk on her mobile phone (which she calls a hello) ...she will say "Hello Stacy/Molly...ok...bye" Funny. She even holds it on her shoulder! Not sure where she sees someone talking on the phone all the time. Her words are really coming along. Many times she has 3 word sentences...but there are also times I have no flippin clue what she says! But she sure knows :)

We are playing outside now as much as possible. The weather is getting nice, it is just a bummer that it is so dang windy where we live...so that cools things off. Now we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Quinnilds...June 12th! WE CAN'T WAIT! Kate talked to the boys tonight and is excited to share her new bikes (she got one for her bday and one from uncle Rob that was Ben and Al's) with Jack. I think Jack is excited too!
