Happy Day!

Happy day...that is what Kate said today when we were having Molly's Birthday cake. It was so cute! And today was a happy day! Actually a happy weekend.

Saturday afternoon my parents came down and stayed at our house. In the afternoon Kate went shopping with Molly, Stacy, mom, dad, and I. She loved it...going thru all the stores yelling for Molly. To go back a few hours...before her nap on Saturday afternoon she got crying really hard because she couldn't go play with Molly. Just broke my heart. Molly, Molly, Molly! So to Kate's surprise, when she woke up from her nap...guess who went up and got her from her crib! Molly!
We went out Saturday night with the Strohs and my parents for dinner. It was fun and Kate got a purple balloon! She was in heaven!

Sunday was the big bday party. Kate was a trooper as we "pushed" thru the day with no nap. She was out by 7:30 tonight. She took a 20 minute nap on the way home, but overall did very well. She loved playing outside (as we all did...see pics). She went on the play set, rode Molly's bike, and just ran around. It was a really fun day.

I have uploaded a video of Kate playing ball with Rua. She loves to do this. We would let her play with Pica, but she is a bit big in the house and doesn't like to drop the ball :( Kate loves playing with Rua. You can't hear it on the video, but she usually yells for Rua to go get the ball...she will say "RUA...BALL!" Of course Rua ignores her unless we say something. Funny.

We are going to start having Kate sit on the potty in the mornings now also. For about a month or two she has been sitting on the potty before she goes to bed. Now she has went twice on the potty! Big girl! So we thought we would do the morning thing too. She is dry in the mornings about 2 out of 7 days. So we will see....just getting her used to it :)

Spring has gotta be here soon...at least it was 45 today!
