The Days of Kate & Jennifer

Today I went back to work for a 1/2 day. I am doing a couple more 1/2 days this week and a couple full days next week. My managers have been great about letting me ease back into work and away from Kate. Today went really well. It was great to see everyone at the office and exciting to see what work lies ahead (really!). It was even easier because Corey's parents watched Kate this morning at our house. Actually they are watching Kate this week and my mom will be down next week (so I don't have to think about daycare for a couple more weeks).

This morning was interesting as I have been getting up a little later the past few months than my 5:30 wake up alarm today. It was good though...I didn't feel any regret or bummed out about getting up early. I actually enjoyed the morning process of getting myself ready and Kate ready. I know all of you experienced mothers are saying...just wait!

I feel a bit different at work now...a working mother. Really didn't think it would be any different, but it is. Not sure how...but??? I look forward to work and have the absolute best thing to look forward to at the end of my day...a little girl that is full of smiles, giggles, and love. I am very excited to start this part of my life. I have had an amazing summer with Kate. I so love that I was lucky enough to get to spend this time with her.
