The Days of Kate & Jennifer: Wednesday, May 19th

Wednesday, May 19th

What a wonderful spring we have had! We were quite busy...let me give you the run down.

The weekend of April 17th, Corey and I had a mini-vacation. We went to Stillwater and stayed the night for my birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Christiansen watched the girls for us...it was so nice! Good to have more than 15 minutes of "adult time."

The next weekend we went to Wisconsin Dells with the girls. We had a great time! Kate did really good at the waterparks. There were many slides that she could go on. The hotel we stayed at was very nice. There was an arcade also, so Kate learned how to play ski ball! We also introduced her to mini-golf. She loved it...so much that we played 36 holes! The drive wasn't too bad as we watched videos most of the time. Jenn got a bit tired of being in her car seat, but a break in the middle was all she needed.

Of course the reason we went to the Dells was for Kate's birthday. Yes she is 3 now! WE had a little party with Grandparents and Kate loved the attention. We will be having her party with cousins and friends in a couple weeks. She is really looking forward to it. We pushed it out so the "Q" clan can come :)

The night before her birthday Kate, Corey, and I went to "Storeytime Live". There were 4 20-30 minutes skits by Dora, Kai-Lan, Wonder Pets, and the Backyardigans. It was quite the show and she loved it!

I guess we kinda celebrated big this year!!!

Now onto little Jennifer. She is 5 1/2 months. Wow! She can sit independantly for a few seconds, is eating rice cereal, andoverall just a growing girl. At her four month check-up she was 13 lbs. She was sleeping quite well. 9 to 5, but then something happened and the last two weeks she has been waking in the night. So we are now feeding her more at 10ish and she is sleeping until 4. Better..but when you get up at 5, that hour before kinda is tough. Jenn's nickname is Miss grabby hands. Everything is going into her mouth these days and you have to keep stuff at a distance if you don't want her to get it!

Kate just loves Jennifer and vice versa. We were just playing on the floor and when Kate came over to play, Jenn just lit up! Fun!

Summer is here I think...80 degrees today! Loving it!
